What is an NDIS plan reassessment?
When your plan is almost finished, your local area coordinator or planner will offer you three options:
- Get a new plan with the same supports
- Get a new plan with minor changes (known as a plan variation)
- Have a full plan reassessment
An NDIS plan reassessment, also known as a plan review, is your opportunity to think about what is working well with your NDIS plan and supports, what is not, and what support you need in the future.

- Start by thinking about your current life goals and what kind of supports might work best for you
- Gather any information you have that can show how your current plan has helped you so far, what you might need and if things could change for you soon
- Try to use NDIS language and terms where you can
- If you have overspent or underspent in your current plan, try to come prepared with reasons why
