On 1 July this year, there will be substantial increases to the maximum price that some providers can charge. It is important to remember that this is the price cap, it is not the NDIS price nor a recommended price.

Attendant care

Price limits for care, which covers the day-to-day needs of people with disabilities, will increase from between 5.6 and 15.4 per cent, depending on factors such as location, shift times and staff experience levels. For example, the base price for level 1 weekday support will increase to $50.47, an increase of 7.6 per cent on the base in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and Tasmania.

Allied Health Professionals
Under the changes, hourly price limits for therapists such as occupational therapists and speech pathologists will increase by $11 per hour from $179 to $190.

Psychologist and physiotherapist rates will also rise depending on where they are based, with increases of up to $51 per hour in some locations.

The new price guide will be published by the NDIA in June this year.
