Making Consent Simpler and Quicker for Support Coordinators

At Provider Choice we pride ourselves on giving participants and their families real control over their NDIS journey, including how their information is shared and who can access it.

For Support Coordinators, the process to access funding information shouldn’t feel harder than it needs to be. That's why we’re introducing a simpler way to request and receive consent that’s faster, clearer and designed to remove friction for everyone involved.

Introducing Digital Consent for Support Coordinators. A new way to reduce unnecessary admin and give quicker access to participant funding information while keeping participants and nominees in control.

How ‘Digital Consent’ works

Support Coordinators can now request consent digitally, without needing a paper form, when the participant or nominee uses email.

It’s 3 quick steps:

  1. Log in to the Provider Choice dashboard
  2. Click Add Participant on the top left
  3. Follow the prompts (it takes about a minute) and submit

Once submitted, the participant or nominee will receive an email asking them to confirm consent. When they confirm, their funding details will become viewable on their Support Coordinator's dashboard.

Using your dashboard with confidence

If you’re a Support Coordinator and the participant or nominee uses email, you can request consent through the portal at any time.

If you’re unsure whether this option is right for a particular participant, our team is here to help you work through the best approach.

Choice still comes first

Digital consent won’t suit everyone and that’s okay. What matters is offering options that respect different needs, preferences and the ways people choose to communicate.

  • Consent is still required.
Access is only granted once the participant or nominee confirms it.
  • Participant choice comes first.
If email isn’t accessible or suitable, we’ll use paper or verbal consent instead.
  • Privacy and compliance remain unchanged.
This is simply a more streamlined option to confirm consent.

We’re excited to offer this new option and hope it makes your day-to-day work just a little easier.
